Newman Electricity (operated by BHP as Supply Authority) is responsible for owning, operating, and maintaining the electricity network that supplies the Newman township in the Shire of East Pilbara. Newman Electricity is the sole electricity distributor and network operator for the township. Its primary role is to ensure electricity is safely delivered to customers by:
